Mala Fortuna Storyline & Synopsis
“Misfortune Aka Mala Fortuna” is a show that is filled with wit, ambition suspense, intrigue, and a touch of comedy. The show follows the adventures of Victoria (played by Macarena Achaga) and Julio (played by Jorge Lopez), who haven’t seen one another since their parents got involved in a scandal involving money that destroyed several of the most wealthy family structures in Latin America more than of 10 years ago.
Both have experienced financial troubles and are both chasing the same target that is that of the Urquiza family. The only way to get out of this is to change their names and start looking for a better future.
Cristian Conti, who is the creator and showrunner of the fictional show, has admitted that he’s always had a fascination with stories about the misfortunes of the wealthy, which is why he used the story as a source.
The show explores the pitfalls of ambition, and how our parents’ choices shape our future. “Mala Fortuna” was created by Cristian Conti and Maria Hinojos, and is directed by Joe Rendon and Analine Cal Y Mayor.
