Supa Team 4 Storyline & Synopsis
The world’s largest streaming company, Netflix, is set to challenge the stereotypical portrayal of African women in movies by introducing a revolutionary animated series. It was initially titled “Supa Team 4”, it is the brainchild of Malenga Mulendema who was among the eight finalists in the pan-African talent competition that was conducted through Triggerfish as well as The Walt Disney Company in 2015. Mulemdema says that the idea was prompted by the absence of diversity and representation in the anime she was a child watching on television.
The streaming company based in the United States has made huge strides since the introduction of “Made in Africa,” an assortment of African documentaries and films, which has opened the way to collaborations with top filmmakers.
