Is There going to be a Season 2 of The Wonderfools — ✔️ May 24, 2027

New 🌻 Summer 2026 TV Show Premiere

Live Countdown (EST)

Netflix just confirmed it. May 24, 2027.

That’s a Monday. 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.

Season 1 dropped in 2026 and people lost their minds. The combination of Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo in a superhero comedy? Chef’s kiss. Netflix knew what they had.

Eight episodes. Twenty-eight minutes each. Short and punchy. No filler.

Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off. That cliffhanger had everyone screaming.

What is “The Wonderfools” Season 2 about?

Regular people. Superpowers. Chaos.

That’s the show.

Season 1 introduced us to Haeseong city. A nothing town. The kind of place where everyone knows everyone and nothing exciting ever happens.

Then something happened. A freak event. Suddenly a group of awkward townies woke up with abilities.

Not cool abilities either. No flying. No super strength. Weird stuff. One person can talk to cats. Another can make any liquid boil just by looking at it. Useless powers that somehow become useful when villains show up.

Season 2 follows the same group. They’ve had a year to figure out their powers. Some have gotten better. Some have gotten worse. One person’s ability is slowly killing them.

The villains are back too. Bigger threats this time. Someone from outside Haeseong city has noticed the town’s weird energy. And they want it for themselves.

The show balances action with comedy. The fight scenes are ridiculous. The jokes land. But there’s real stakes too. Season 1 killed off a main character. Season 2 probably will too.

Park Eun-bin’s character Eun Chae-ni is the reluctant leader. She never wanted any of this. Cha Eun-woo’s character Lee Woon-jeong is the pretty one who’s actually terrifying in a fight. Kim Hae-sook as Kim Jeon-bok is the grandma with the scariest power of all.

Are episodes released weekly or all at once?

Netflix is dropping all eight episodes at once.

May 24. Everything available. No waiting.

Some people hate this. Some people love it. The Wonderfools works better as a binge though. The episodes are short. The story moves fast. Waiting a week between episodes would kill the momentum.

If you want to stretch it out, nobody’s stopping you. One episode a day. Makes it last over a week.

But let’s be real. Most people are going to watch the whole thing in one sitting. Twenty-eight minute episodes. That’s under four hours total. Easy afternoon.

How can I watch “The Wonderfools” Season 2?

Netflix. That’s it.

Basic subscription works. No need for the 4K plan or whatever upcharge they’re pushing now.

The show will be on the homepage the day it drops. Netflix usually puts their big K-dramas in the “Trending Now” row. Hard to miss.

If you don’t have Netflix, they still do a free trial. Seven to thirty days depending on your region. Plenty of time to watch eight episodes and cancel.

Season 1 is also on Netflix if you need to catch up. Watch that first. Season 2 won’t make much sense otherwise.

When does “The Wonderfools” Season 2 come out?

May 24, 2027.

Monday morning.

Netflix releases things globally at midnight Pacific Time. That’s the standard. So May 24 at 12 a.m. PT.

For everyone else:

  • East Coast US: 3 a.m. ET
  • UK: 8 a.m. GMT
  • Korea: 4 p.m. KST
  • Australia: 5 p.m. AEST (May 24)
  • Japan: 4 p.m. JST

So Korea gets it at 4 p.m. on May 24. Perfect timing. School’s out. Work’s ending. People can watch immediately.

US East Coast gets the short end. 3 a.m. is rough. But that’s what coffee is for.

how to watch from Canada

Canadians have it easy. Netflix Canada gets the same release as everyone else.

May 24 at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT. Same as the US.

Korean audio with English subtitles is the default. French subtitles are also available. Also Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, German. Netflix does a good job with subs.

If you want English dubbing? Probably not. K-dramas on Netflix rarely get dubs. Just subs. Learn to read fast.

No VPN needed. No workarounds. Just open Netflix on May 24 and it’s there.

Canadians who want to watch Season 1 first? It’s on Netflix Canada right now. Go catch up.

The Wonderfools Season 2 trailers and clips

Full trailer dropped last week. Netflix put it on their YouTube channel.

Two minutes and forty seconds. Shows new villains. New powers. One character crying in the rain. Another character laughing maniacally. Standard K-drama trailer stuff.

The trailer reveals two major plot points that probably should have been kept secret. Netflix does this every time. Shows too much. So if you want to go in fresh, skip the trailer.

There are also four character teasers on Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel. Each one is about 30 seconds. Focuses on one main character. Shows a little bit of their Season 2 arc.

Park Eun-bin’s teaser is the best one. Just her character standing on a rooftop. Looking at the city. Then she smiles. Cut to black. Chills.

No official clips from actual episodes yet. Netflix is holding those for release week.

Search “The Wonderfools Season 2 trailer” on YouTube. It’s the first result. Over three million views already. Mostly from Korea but international fans are finding it too.

The Wonderfools Season 2 cast

Here’s everyone coming back:

  • Park Eun-bin — Eun Chae-ni
  • Cha Eun-woo — Lee Woon-jeong
  • Kim Hae-sook — Kim Jeon-bok
  • Choi Dae-hoon — Son Kyung-hoon
  • Im Sung-jae — Kang Ro-bin
  • Son Hyeon-ju — Ha Won-do

Park Eun-bin is the star. She won two acting awards for Season 1. Her character goes through the wringer in Season 2. The trailer shows her crying in three different scenes. That’s a lot even for her.

Cha Eun-woo is the idol actor. Some people hate on him. But he’s legit good in this role. His character gets a darker arc in Season 2. Less pretty boy. More anti-hero.

Kim Hae-sook is the veteran. She’s been in everything. Her character is the comic relief in Season 1. Season 2 gives her a dramatic storyline. She pulls it off obviously. She’s Kim Hae-sook.

New faces? Netflix hasn’t announced any. But the trailer shows at least two characters who weren’t in Season 1. A villain with red eyes. And a mysterious woman following the group. No casting announcements yet. Probably intentional.

Missing from the lineup? No one. The whole main cast is back. That’s rare for K-dramas. Usually someone doesn’t return. But everyone signed on for Season 2.

The Wonderfools Season 2 filming locations

Seoul. Mostly. But not just Seoul.

Main filming: Studio in Paju. That’s just north of Seoul. Big studio complex where a lot of K-dramas shoot. They built the entire Haeseong city set there. Streets. Shops. The town square. Everything.

Season 2 added new sets. A villain’s lair. An underground bunker. A destroyed bridge. All built in the same Paju studio.

Exterior locations in Seoul:

  • Yeouido Park — Used for a big fight scene in Episode 3
  • Hongdae streets — Where the characters hang out between missions
  • Namsan Tower — Shows up in Episode 5. Iconic location.
  • Seoul Forest — A chase scene happens here. Episode 4.

New for Season 2: Filming in Incheon. Specifically the old port area. Used for a climactic battle in Episode 7. Looks great on camera. Very moody. Very industrial.

No international locations. The show stays in Korea. That’s fine. Seoul gives them everything they need.

If you want to visit the locations:

  • Yeouido Park is public. Go anytime.
  • Hongdae is a normal neighborhood. Very crowded. Very fun.
  • Namsan Tower is a tourist attraction. Cable car up. Great views.
  • The Paju studio is not open to the public. Security is tight. Don’t bother.

Quick recap:

  • Release date: May 24, 2027
  • Time: 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. KST
  • Where: Netflix (worldwide)
  • Episodes: 8 (28 min each)
  • Full cast back: Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Hae-sook, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Sung-jae, Son Hyeon-ju
  • Watch Season 1 first: Also on Netflix

Set your alarms. May 24 is coming. If you’re on the East Coast, maybe just stay up. 3 a.m. is rough but The Wonderfools is worth it.
