“Clipped” is a six-episode mini-series that will be broadcast on Hulu beginning on June 4. The show will not feature “Lob City” at the core of this show however, it will take a look to this year’s Donald Sterling scandal , the former owner of the franchise, who made racist remarks, which were which were recorded, without his knowledge, from one of his lovers, V. Stiviano. The scandal led the NBA to suspend him permanently, effectively removing his franchise and demand an $2.5 millions fine.
To portray Sterling the production has selected Ed O’Neill (known for the hit show “Married with Two Children” and “Modern Family”), and Cleopatra Coleman will play the part of his mistress.
The series starts by introducing Doc Rivers, played by Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus in “Matrix” particularly) and his unsettling trip to the top of the Californian franchise due to the particularly gruesome owner.
