Through the partnership with StarzPLAY in April of last year, Canal Digital has been in a position to broaden its offerings to subscribers by offering a selection that includes a variety of high-quality series and films. Dr. Death tells the real tale of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (played by Joshua Jackson) who deliberately brutally slayed thirty-three of his patients between the years of 2011 to 2013. Patients presented with back pain and were discharged from the hospital permanently disabled.
Two of Duntsch’s patients didn’t make it through the procedure. Over the years, Dr. Death, however, was not able to stay clear of it, and he continued to operate because the hospital he was in kept changing. After two physicians (played in the roles of Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater) were aware of the abuse, it took a while before they were able to make him accountable for his conduct. In 2017 he was sentenced to life in prison.
