The main character is Joe (Richard Armitage) who is ready to begin a new chapter in his life following having finally got married. However, his joy doesn’t last forever, as one day, he’s murdered before his wife (Michelle Keegan). She then tries to deal with the tragedy and then one day gets a shock. Joe who was put to rest for a long time is suddenly seen on CCTV footage. What if Joe lie about his death? What is the reason he would choose to do this? Maybe his wife is beginning to lose her sense of direction.
The eight 60-minute episodes on Fool Me Once follow Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) as she attempts to reconcile with the murderous death of her husband Joe (Richard Armitage). However, when Maya installs baby monitors to watch her daughter and her baby, she’s in for a surprise. At her home, she spots a man whom she recognizes as her husband who she believes to be dead.
Investigator Sami Kierce (Adeel Akhtar) oversees the investigation into the death of Joe while trying to unravel his mysteries. While the nieces and nephews of Maya Abby and Daniel attempt to uncover the truth behind the murder of their mother that took place just a few months ago. Do the two cases have any connection?
