Heels Storyline & Synopsis
The Starz series explores what it takes to be a professional wrestler in United States. Two brothers wrestle against each other to preserve the legacy of their father. But, it’s not simple, as they compete with each other in and out of the rings. Thus, the legacy left by the father is an enormous burden. His expectations and wishes for his sons resulted in them becoming wrestlers. Their decisions are constantly influenced by the influence of their father.
Jack’s promoter and producer the tough mid-life Willie (Mary McCormack) who, despite having a dark background together with Wild Bill, tries to keep the league as well as the team together, but tensions get a bit high, particularly as tensions mount among Ace and his ring assistant, the cute and driven Crystal (Kelli Berglund). She doesn’t want to remain a wrestler’s sidekick, but she is determined to make her own mark in the ring.
However, while there is a legacy left by Jack as well as Ace’s dad, his involvement in the DWL wrestling league, is not gone, Jack is largely alone because Staci, his wife Staci is sick of him. His toxic relation with the brother because of the dynamic between the brawls that have nearly killed the DWL. DWL offers many of the people in Jack as well as Ace’s home town a hope of a better future. But, of course, it’s about shattering the illusions.
