  1. Casting a black actor as Nate is pure political correctness and capitulation to the woke mob. How many black Polish guys are there in Wyoming? Zero.

  2. Just an excellent show. Captivating and well played. I hope it just doesn’t end after we put our time and interest in watching. For some reason the powers that be don’t really care about the people out there watching a series. They just dump on us and move on. Getting tired of it. Don’t do this to Joe Pickett.

  3. Love, love, love, Joe Pickett and all the novels. The first episode was a little slow and then it really picked up. Let’s have a second season. I get so sick of all the good shows being cancelled and all these “reality” shows on tv. Keep up the good work, please.

  4. Season one was great. I’ve read all of the books in the Pickett series and I can’t wait to see the pieces developed in season one come together in season two. There will be season two won’t there?

  8. We love this show, hope it has a second season. Only one thing we didn’t like is the use of Rottweilers as killer dogs. We have Rottweilers, not appreciated. Could have come up with a different senario. But still like show. It’s nice to gave something different. Thanks for listening

    • Rots are great dogs, I absolutely love them for family pets. But they can be taught to be vicious, and when they are they do major damage.

  9. Very pleased with the series Joe Pickett. One of the best that Spectrum has offered. Not sure how many episodes are in season one but I reading there could be a season two? I sure will be watching. Hoping for 10 episodes in season one.

  10. Loved Joe Pickett and really got in to it. But was sorely disappointed when the show just stopped with no resolution and answers to the complex plot. Spectrum, please be more responsive to your customers and let us know if and when there will be a season 2.

  11. I so enjoyed the Joe Pickett series. I’m worn out with the ridiculous reality shows, but this a great story line that was family oriented. Also, I was so wonderful not to hear all the disgusting four letter words! More of Joe Pickett PLEASE!

  12. I too have read all the books. I live in the rural west & like many find the books characters & culture oddly familiar! For those story lines that moved beyond relatability for me, Box gently but persistently educated & pulled me along until I was willing to take the plunge. I feel that this is missing in the TV series. Understanding that it takes time to build characters whether in book form or in the screenwriting process, the end result is that connection or trust that pulls one along. I think the cast is as wonderful as the background/landscape is breathtaking. In the books Joe Pickett has moments that result in unflattering situations but which bring life & color to each story. Unfortunately Pickett’s TV character comes across to me as that of a ‘lost puppy’ full of uncertainty & lacking in confidence. He definitely needs to get rid of the hat. You can’t beat a Stetson. Yes, Pickett suffers embarrassing moments in the books, but he always comes across as his own man…yes, conflicted at times but his own man. As a man who frequently suffers flashbacks of childhood trauma, flashbacks that are very important to his character, those repeated flashbacks very often appear just as real-time critical moments in the story are unfolding leaving the viewer to try & process both events simultaneously. It is a lot to process & may not do either event justice. I hope C.J. Box finds the right folks to bring this back. There’s a lot of us that believe these stories would hold up solidly on screen.

  15. Season 2 appears to be elusive. It is bad business for Spectrum to leave fans hanging but its a tradition with Spectrum to be non-responsive whether it is with programming, service or programming. Clearly, Spectrum is unreliable and not ready for prime time

  17. This book series and the characters are so great, really loved this show with the scenery, stories and cast. I am so tired of watching cop, hospital or fire shows. This show icaptures an American spirit that gets lost in modern television. Hopefully you will give us the gift of more seasons, i mean 22 books, plenty of material to capture the same audience that devoured Longmire and now Yellowstone and 1883. Thank you!

  22. This is the best series I have seen for many, many years. All the actors were great, Skywalker Hughes stood out as an awsome child actor who (I hope) has a very sucessful career ahead of her.

  23. I do hope there is more to come but the Joe Pickett screen character does not square with the Joe Pickett book character. He needs a solid dose of testosterone and machismo to be easily recognized by the dedicated followers of C.J. Box. And knock off the politically correct nonsense. It is painful to watch. The author does not play in that arena.

  24. A good series in many ways. A very good cast of mostly unknowns to start with, excellant production values and filming locations makes for a very realistic mystery story. Drawbacks? Start with the extremely slow pacing in the beginning episodes in particular, and flashbacks and flashbacks within flashbacks that drove me crazy and really added nothing to the story. Conversations about nothing or maybe critical to the story were hard to decipher one from the other. Chapters 8, 9, 10 tie the whole story together, but the ending is completely sappy and overlong in Chapter 10. So essentially a nice try but no cigar.

  25. I didn’t think i’d like this series, not into anything outdoors, wildlife, blood and guts etc ..
But i could not stop watching!
I loved everything, wasn’t anything I thought I would Like.
They did it well by humanizing Joe in the beginning. Got everyone to watch and they lived it.
Can’t wait for more seasons. Being there’s so many books they shouldn’t run out of stories.

  26. I have read all of the Joe Picket Novels. Each would make a damn fine stand alone movie.

The last time I enjoyed a modern day western so much was the six year series Justified.

  27. Have read all Chuck Box has written, met him at book signings and even shared a few meals. Remember him talking about TV or movie rights and how production had to be right or wouldn’t happen. If he’s involved, I trust him to be true to his art. That said, sure no one has everything they want when their work moves from written to screen. I eagerly await season 2, minor warts and all. Will wait on development of Nate character; as retired SF officer not my perception, but if Chuck OK, I’m OK.

  28. Love the series and the actors. I have read all the books and realize that film makers change some things for better plot development. I have even taken university classes that read several novels and then watched the movie. Most were not very well done but this series does a good job of character development and plot. Really enjoy it and hope there will be more.

  29. Thought the series was good and can accept some of the slight changes and hope if there is a Season 2,Joe will work on styling his Open Road Stetson…looks as if it just came out of the box and doesn’t in my opinion conform to the numerous references to Joe’s hat on the books…

  30. My husband and I really enjoyed the 1season. We so seldom watch T.V any more because of the PC verbiage. It was just nice to watch a good drama. Hoping for season 2.
