Jury Duty Storyline & Synopsis
Jury Duty tells about the inside functioning that goes into the American juried trial, through the lens of one specific juror Ronald Gladden. What Gladden doesn’t realize is that the entire thing is a hoax, that everyone other than himself is an actor, and that what happens both in court and out is meticulously scheduled. Jury Duty began with a query: Could it be possible to make an edgy sitcom similar to The Office about a lawsuit and have it populated with great comedians?
The show begins with the brand new original series. Jury Duty is a docuseries-style comedy that explores the internal functioning of the American jury system. Jury members will be required to take in both sides and then make a choice along with eleven other members. The only thing they’d like to do is return home to New York, but a crazy animal control agent is going to block that.
