The Hollywood Reporter reported that Ortiz said, “Exploring Atlanta’s early ’90s history is like finding diamonds in a cave.” He added that it was a great honor to be able “to tell this city’s amazing story from the perspective of a younger cast” who had grown up alongside Atlanta. Atlanta developed a persona as it was getting ready to host the Olympic Games in the early ’90s. It also became America’s Black Mecca.
These interconnected stories set in motion a chain of transformations throughout the city, echoing Dante’s phrase: “The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions.”
