Alone Storyline & Synopsis
There aren’t any competitions or obligations they must fulfill — apart from obviously, being alive. Except for periodic medical check-ups, participants are separated from one another as well as other humans. They are responsible for their food, shelter, and health. Every participant is provided with a satellite phone, which connects them to the rescue team that can be used to take themselves out of the contest at any time. This is called “tapping out.”
Whatever the location, participants are dropped off on the exact day, separated enough to ensure they do not meet up with each other. While the terrain may vary depending on the location of each contestant The drop-off areas are analyzed prior to the event to ensure a fair distribution of resources for each participant. The contestants who are on the show are dropped off in a very small amount.
Each participant is provided with the standard equipment including clothing, and first aid equipment as well as the option of selecting 10 items for survival from a list that has been approved by a panel of 40. The contestants are also given cameras to record their experiences while they try to get food, build a shelter and suffer extreme loneliness and mental stress.
