Doğu Storyline & Synopsis
“Dogu” is a reworking of the famed comedian Dogu Demirkol’s personal story. Without the support of his family and his environment, Dogu’s attempts to achieve his goal of becoming a comedian and not letting up on the pressure will provide hilarious moments.
A ghost lurks in our humor that is the ghost of the middle class! Platform comedies are a hit with the young and educated middle class. They are particularly appealing to people who are not religious. There is a section in which are forced to speak about their stomachs, and, they are forbidden from making any type of statements to avoid losing the money they were thought to lose. Evliya Aykan Ege Kokenli, Banu Fatocan, Kubilay Tuncer, and Keremcem join Demirkol in the upcoming season of the show’s cast.
It is believed that the Turkish television screen that has previously produced absurd comedies such as Leyla, as well as Majnun and sitcoms such as Avrupa Yakasi, has been affected by infertility regarding this issue. As was the case with mainstream channels, digital platforms have begun to fill the gap. The protagonists in each story are actors we have all seen in theatre, screen, and cinema productions. Though they took inspiration from their own stories from their lives they made an antihero from them by sharpening the tales with fascinating details.
