Drops of God Storyline & Synopsis
The show revolves around food and exquisite wines. They are mourning the passing of Alexandre Leger, creator of the renowned Leger Wine Guide and emblematic person in Oenology. The show’s protagonist is Alexandre Leger, founder of the well-known Leger Wine Guide and well-known for the study of wine died recently from his residence in Tokyo at 60. Camille (Geffrier) is his daughter, is in Paris, and hasn’t seen him since the divorce of her parents when she was just nine. She learns that her father has a wine collection that experts say that it is the biggest in the world as she travels to Tokyo and the will of Leger is read.
Leger is survived by his daughter Camille living in Paris and hasn’t been able to see her dad since her parents split at the age of nine years old. When Camille travels to Tokyo and Leger’s will is read to her, she finds out that her father left her an incredible wine collection, the biggest ever in the world, according to experts. It’s no wonder that it’s an international series where English, French, and Japanese are the main languages.
Drops of God has a budget of approximately $30,000. Legendary provided a significant part of that. In the end, it managed global sales across all countries, with the exception of France and Japan which is where Hulu Japan. Camille has to battle an amazing young oenologist Issei Tomine who took her father’s hand and is named in the will of Leger in his will as the “spiritual son.”
