The show is about the girls group who only had one success in the latter part of the 90s, and more than twenty years later they’re allowed to surprise everyone with an unexpected return. The girls group Girls5Eva enjoyed success with their track Famous5Eva. However, their follow-up single, ‘Quit Flying Planes at My Heart was a massive failure particularly since the track came out just one day before the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The group has been dissolved with one member of the ladies, Ashley, has died. However, nearly twenty years after, Dawn ( Sara Bareilles ) can hear a brand new track by singer Lil Stinker ( Jeremiah Craft ) and recognizes a song sample of her song.
She’s now married and has one child, but is continuously stressed and working for all hours in the restaurant run by her brother. She searches for their boss Larry ( Jonathan Hadary ) to collect her royalty cheque from the sample. She must visit the three other girls also.
