Up Here Storyline & Synopsis
In this clip we watch the actress play the character of Miss Havisham as a wealthy, old maid in a sprawling, decaying house which is welcoming at first young Pip an orphan who is suddenly able to see herself as a person who can journey to London and uncover a dark world, unlike the one they thought. The show tells the growing-up story of Pip an orphan looking for a little more.
The adaptation is an eight-part miniseries that is written by and directed by Steven Knight. Great Expectations is the thirteenth and penultimate novel of Charles Dickens. The novel is the brainchild of Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight who also serves as an executive producer with Tom Hardy. The teaser reveals the young Pip Tom Sweet, who plays the character Tom Sweet, enters Satis House for the first time and then meets Miss Havisham.
The novels are based on unreal incidents and random encounters. In a positive manner, the narrative flows and stops as life does but you don’t go through a novel to find out the sake of that. Dickens’s strengths lie in his character sketches, particularly those that are frequently humorous. The creators of Great Expectations have not entirely achieved a current and thrilling story from Dickens’s moralistic “educational.
