The Snow Girl Story
The plot takes place in the year 2010 when the Martin family is witnesses to a Christmas party transform into a nightmare after their child Amaya disappears from the crowd. The journalist in her early years Miren (Milena Smit of The Girl in the Mirror) begins an investigation into her disappearance of her and is confronted by things from her previous life that she’d prefer to have left behind.
In the meantime that Investigator Belen Millan (Aixa Villagran) is conducting her own investigation. It brings up sadly the peanut butter-related incidents from her past that she would rather not reflect on. The series also was inspired by the book of the same name written by Javier Castillo, which was one of the top bestsellers a few years in the past.
The first year and the set of The Snow Maiden have deviated from the story. The original setting was New York in 1998 at an annual Thanksgiving parade. In the TV show, it’s Malaga in 2010, at in the Three Wise Men parade. The parade is where a young girl known as Amaya Martin disappears completely amid the crowd. After a desperate search through the city and finding no trace of the child is found, Detective Millan opens an investigation, and the race to locate Amaya is underway.
