Obsession Storyline & Synopsis
The series is a rewrite of Josephine Hart’s novel from 1991 Damage. The novel was incredibly successful, becoming an immediate classic within the world of erotic obsession, and also an unwavering examination of the consequences of such acts. Even though the events of the novel are set in the 1990s The new adaptation by Netflix will feature a contemporary version. We are completely convinced and excited to go on a journey.
In the mini-series, we’ll witness William, the London surgeon William who is enticed by an intense affair with the spouse of his son Martyn. As Anna is trying to keep both relationships, William finds himself in an obsessive cycle that his wife is not supposed to be aware of but certainly not his son. The attraction and obsession that the characters have may result in a negative impact on the entire family.
A flashback in black and white sequence reveals the details of the accident, and Jennifer is unable to recall the details of her life. The action gets underway when Haysbert’s character is introduced with the addition of the dark blue images bringing back the sexual thrillers from the 1990s. Overall the trailer is in line with the official synopsis and definitely has a made-for-TV style.
