The show follows two teams who race across the globe to be the fastest team to reach an area using any method of transport apart from air transportation. Teams must follow strict rules and budget guidelines to increase the intensity of the test.
In the BBC Two programme, John typically recounts the journey that every couple makes from one place to the next while also providing a brief history of the area. The couple have to travel through Central as well as South America in order to arrive at their final destination, which will be Ushuaia, Argentina.
