Rosemary’s Hitlist Storyline & Synopsis
We’ve all been exposed to the tale of the former officer Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu. This is because it was almost a news story across the nation. On the 12th of October, 2015, Ndlovu’s living-in partner Yingwani Maurice Makbasa she was the mother of her one living child, was missing in the early hours of that day. The next day, his body was discovered in Olifantsfontein which had 76 stab wounds. Mabasa had 16 insurance policies to his name totaling greater than R400 000. Ndlovu was one of the beneficiaries.
Judge Ramarumo Monama compared Ndlovu to the murder trial in the case of Daisy de Melker in 1932 and stated that South Africa had not seen anything like it over the past nearly 89 years. The documentary is also filled with incredible footage from her trial where the majority of press coverage was focused on the amount of attention that Ndlovu appeared to be enjoying.
Nthipe M Boloka, the station chief of her station at the Tembisa South police station – who both claimed Ndlovu of attempting to take them out of prison. Other interviewees include the prosecutor of Ndlovu, advocate Riana Williams as well as Everson Luhanga, Scrolla Africa’s editor-in-chief, who first published the news, as well relatives from Ndlovu as well as Mabasa, the tenant and her former teacher at the school.
