Slip Storyline & Synopsis
“Slip” follows Lister-Jones as Mae Cannon, a woman in her 30s who is unhappy with her overall satisfactory marriage. When Mae begins an adventure across parallel worlds, she develops new relationships and attempts to find her love as well as herself. Boat Rocker serves as the studio for the project together with TeaTime Pictures, founded by Dakota Johnson and Ro Donnelly and Katie O’Connell, all of which are EPs.
“Lister-Jones’ Mae wallows through life and is unhappy with the steady monotony of her everyday life. She has a friend who is willing to take on anything for her. She is able to work alongside Mae in her favorite job. Additionally, she also has her floppy-haired husband, whose main problem is what is expected to do. This is a typical beginning to many pop culture tales, starting from Freaky Friday all the way to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Sliding Doors before she sold candles that smelled like vaginas.
As per the description, SLIP tells the story of Mae Cannon (Lister-Jones), an adult woman who is suddenly agitated even though she has a perfect marriage. This is the beginning of a thrilling adventure through different universes as she begins new relationships and tries to discover the path which will lead them back home to their husband, and eventually, she finds herself too.
