The Company You Keep Storyline
The Company You Keep is the American adaptation of the Korean series My Fellow Citizens and follows the story of a crook named Charlie and an undercover CIA agent Emma. An evening of passion takes to love and they end up in a professional collision course. As Charlie increases the size of the family business in order to escape in the end, Emma closes in on the vengeful criminal in charge of the family’s debts and causing them to believe the lies they’ve been told.
As Charlie is trying to take over the pace of his “family business” so he is able to get away with it once and for all, Emma investigates a dangerous and vindictive criminal who’s keeping the family members of his new lover in his pockets due to some financial obligations. Both of them must confront the lies they’ve made up to keep their loved ones and themselves from the repercussions of their actions.
