Bruno Testori is now an prisoner in his own jail at the time that Gregorio Verna, head of the secret service, removes his charges and re-instates the director. In return, he has to make the prisoner and magistrate Vittorio Mancuso, who is accused of murdering one of the employees at Slimpetroil Spa, a renowned energy firm in the country, talk and discover why the accused was guilty of the crime, before he testifies before an investigating judge. If Bruno starts to doubt the innocence of his friend and is worried that the services could be using him, he chooses to look into the matter. This will mark the start of a struggle for truth, and the price will be quite expensive.
“The King” returns it’s the Sky Original prison drama produced by Sky Studios with Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment and with Wildside (both companies belonging to the Fremantle group) that will see the collaboration with Zocotoco.
