“Welcome to Samdalri” tells the story of Samdal (Shin Hye-sun) the dragon who was born in a river located at the foot of Hallasan Mountain, who loses everything, falls and is reunited with his home town with “Yongpil” (Ji Chang-wook), who was a lover of the river. It’s a true romance of two lovers having a moment of silence and discovering the love of their lives.
First, Yongpil with a smile that is as radiant as sunshine. As Samdal departs the stream and imagines dragons flying in heaven, the Yongpil whose dream was to guard streams, guarding his own stream, Jeju. As warm and smiles, he is taking great care of the elders of Jeju. As is a characteristic of Jeju the town, he is a regular participant in every village event and enlivens the mood by singing the tunes of the King of singers, Cho Yong-pil.
Samdal who envisioned becoming a teenager in a hurry and leaving her home at an early age, soon departs for Seoul and begins an entirely new life as a stage performer Jo Eun-hye. She had a rough time as an assistant to the fashion photography industry for 8 years before rising to the highest point. But, the tower, which was constructed with a lot of effort over an extended period is smashed in a flash. Samdal who is without a place to go, goes back to his hometown and reunites with his former friend, Yongpil.
