When Calls the Heart Story
Transplant tells the tale that follows Bashir Hamed (Hamza Haq) who is a charming Syrian doctor who along with his small sister is compelled by conflict to leave his country and become an asylum seeker. The place of his departure is Canada and Canada is in which Bashir would like to go back to the practice of medicine. in order to do this, the doctor will need to undergo a re-education in medical school starting from the beginning to finish. Surprisingly, he is offered an appointment as a resident at the emergency room of the top hospital in Toronto which means he will be living alongside other doctors who have different backgrounds and experience. However, his love for his work and his passion for what he does will unify the doctors.
The show is starring Hamza Haq as Dr. Bashir “Bash” Hamed, is a Syrian doctor who came to Canada along with their younger sibling Amira (Orphan Black’s Sirena Gulamgaus) to escape the war in their country. He must now return to complete the residency program, even though he is his battle-tested expertise in emergency medical treatment.
Transplant is a unique creation of Canadian network CTV and has enjoyed a great reception from both critics and viewers. Additionally, the Canadian drama recently received four statuettes at the biggest TV award ceremonies in Canada. The hospital’s cast also includes John Hannah (Agents of SHIELD) as the director of the emergency department.
