Fight to Survive Storyline & Synopsis
The eight-part battle to survive with host Akbar Gbajabiamila. “By bringing together the best of The CW and The Roku Channel, Fight to Survive will be able to reach the widest possible audience through both broadcast and streaming,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network as well as Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals, Roku.
“By working together on all aspects of sales, marketing, press, and advertising, we will bring this red-hot series to millions of fans in a whole new way.” With its lively lineup of reality stars and a unique format that is unscripted, it increases the intensity of traditional competition shows.
In the show, Fight to Survive, Akbar Gbajabiamila carries out a social experiment in primitive survivalism with a twist of competition. 17 contestants, which includes former “Survivor,” ‘Alone’, naked and Afraid’, and the ‘American Ninja Warriors’ contestants – have to survive 25 days on an island in the middle of nowhere, fighting extreme conditions – and one another – to make 250 dollars.
