Black Knight Storyline & Synopsis
RR: Taekbaegisa Aka Black Knight is set in the future of the Korean Peninsula, where people can’t live without oxygen because of the extreme pollution. It is the tale about the legendary courier and a refugee ‘April to confront the Chunmyeong Group that dominates the new world. The images released this time show the most dangerous conditions where desertification has accelerated fast since the comet’s impact and the distinct worldview of the story where a tiny number of people survived, however, the divide between classes is becoming more established and a dynamic story unfolds.
The first teaser image that was released today shows at a glance, the view of the “courier driver” encased with sand. With the backdrop of crumbling high-rises, an oxygen respirator that lost its owner is lying on a ruined land, with not a single blade of grass. Someone who is believed to be an official courier walking with a box in front of a huge truck. The premise is a tale that unfolds in a situation that is so extreme that only couriers can provide the necessary items.
Ryu Seok who is played by Song Seung-Heon is the heir to the Cheonmyeong Group, which established an order to allow people to live in a brand new world. Ryu Seok is the person in charge of the creation of Area A which is a place that attracts many refugees to migrate into a new region and raises questions over what he’s concealing. Kang Yoo-seok is April an escaped refugee who hopes to become a courier.
