The Change Storyline & Synopsis
The series, that Bridget Christie also wrote – the comedian is Linda who is a woman going through menopausal changes who decides to reclaim some of her time spent on invisible work over the years and create something for herself. Linda meets a variety of characters along the journey. The ‘Eel sisters”, are a frustrated local radio host and a lonely man in the woods, with only a wild boar as a companion. It’s high-jinks!
Linda embarks on a voyage of exploration and self-confidence following the news. After removing her beloved Triumph motorbike that she had last used for a few years ago the biker travels on her own into The Forest of Dean to do something to herself and reconnect with her identity. She encounters a variety of characters on the journey.
Refreshing an old Triumph motorbike, one she hasn’t ridden for over thirty decades, Linda takes off for The Forest of Dean – looking for an identity, a meaning, and a tree that she once climbed as a kid and encounters a variety of quirky locals such as the notorious Eel Sisters, an angry local radio host and a mysterious person that lives among the trees along with her wild boar.
Bridget presented the show using the tagline ‘Shirley Valentine meets Deliverance. With Pigs.’ She had us at ‘pigs’. We’re so happy to collaborate with Linda and Expectation and be able to help a woman such as Linda as the center of a show that well tackles major themes such as gender, health classes, identity, as well as the world of nature but wraps them all up in the charm and wit of Bridget’s character, as well as her enthusiasm and comical expertise. It’s an apt show from a comic who is at the peak of her talents.
