The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart Storyline & Synopsis
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is a gripping tale of a child Alice Hart, whose violent childhood creates a shadowy image of the rest of her life.
A family tragedy occurs that saw her lose her abusive father and beloved mother in a tragic fire, nine-year-old Alice is brought to her grandmother June on a farm with flowers in which she uncovers the truth about her as well as her family’s past.
Set against Australia’s breathtaking natural landscape and adorned with native wildflowers, plants and offering a means to express the inconceivable, this captivating family drama spans the years as Alice develops from a baby and becomes a lady.
The story is both epic and emotionally intense, leading to a dramatic climax when Alice struggles in the fight for life with the man she is in love with. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is the TV adaptation of Holly’s book the same title. It was first released by the Netherlands as The Story of Alice Hart.
Alice Hart is nine years old when she loses both of her parents and is forced to move to live with Grandma June, whom she has never had the pleasure of meeting. As time passes, Alice becomes increasingly frustrated with the lack of information she has about the family’s history.
As she learns to deal with her tangled past Alice’s story is advancing to an emotional conclusion when she is forced to fight for her life with the man she’s been loving.
