This book written by New Zealand author Heather Morris has sold more than three million copies across the globe since its publication and, in 2018, it ranked first among the New York Times Bestseller lists. Morris has stated previously that she met an 87-year-old man referred to as Ludwig Sokolov (born Eisenberg) also who was referred to as Lali or Lale in the first draft she wrote in her book at a party in Australia at the time of 2003 just following the death of his spouse, Gita passed away.
