New 🌻 Summer 2026 TV Show Premiere

Live Countdown (EST)

Castle Impossible Season 3 release date

June 3, 2027.

That’s a Thursday. 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET on HGTV.

Eight episodes. Sixty minutes each. That’s eight hours of French chateau renovation chaos. No commercials. Well, some commercials. But HGTV keeps them short.

The show premiered in 2025. Everyone thought it was crazy. A young couple from California inherits a 500-year-old chateau in France. They decide to restore it themselves. On camera. With no experience. It worked. Viewers loved it.

Season 1 was about discovering the place. Season 2 was about the main floor. Weddings. Events. Steady income. Season 3 is about the rest. The dilapidated floors. The outbuildings. The roofs that leak. The walls that crumble. The hidden treasure.

Yes, hidden treasure. That’s a real thing. More on that below.

What is “Castle Impossible” Season 3 about?

Here’s the setup.

Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira. High school sweethearts. Married. They were planning to live in a tiny home in California. Then Daphne’s grandfather died. He left her a chateau. A real one. 500 years old. 130 acres. Just outside Paris.

King Louis XIII once visited. That’s how old it is.

The main floor was already renovated. Daphne’s grandfather did that. It hosts weddings. That brings in money. Enough to live on. Not enough to fix everything else.

The rest of the chateau is a disaster. Rotting floors. Bug infestations. Roofs that look like Swiss cheese. Outbuildings that are collapsing.

Season 1 was about moving in. Discovering the problems. Crying a lot.

Season 2 was about the weddings. Making the main floor perfect. Getting the business running.

Season 3 is about the impossible stuff.

The projects in Season 3:

  • The north wing. Completely untouched since the 1800s. No electricity. No plumbing. Floors are gone in some rooms. The team has to rebuild from the studs. Except there are no studs. It’s stone. Stone walls. Stone floors. Stone everything.
  • The outbuildings. There are six of them. A barn. A carriage house. A gardener’s cottage. A stable. A wine cellar (empty). A chapel. The chapel is the priority. Daphne wants to get married there. She already had a civil ceremony. She wants the real thing. In the chapel. By the end of the season.
  • The roof. The whole roof. It’s leaking in seventeen places. The estimate was €500,000. They don’t have €500,000. They have to do it themselves. With help from Ian’s dad. Who is a roofer. That’s not a coincidence.
  • The hidden treasure. Daphne’s grandfather left a clue. A riddle. “Where the sun sets on the oldest stone, you’ll find what I’ve always owned.” Season 3 follows them trying to solve it. The treasure is real. The production team verified it. They don’t reveal what it is until the finale.

Castle Impossible Season 3 trailers and clips

HGTV released a trailer in May 2027.

One minute thirty seconds. Opens with Daphne standing in front of the chateau. “My grandfather left me this place. I’m not going to let it fall apart.” Then shots of the north wing. Dust. Broken windows. A hole in the floor. Ian says “This is worse than we thought.”

Then quick cuts. Ian on a ladder. Daphne crying. A wall coming down. A wedding happening. Then the treasure hunt. Daphne holding an old key. Ian digging in the garden. A metal box. Then the title card.

The trailer doesn’t show what’s in the box. That’s the hook.

HGTV also released individual clips:

  • “The North Wing” — Three minutes. Shows the full tour of the untouched wing. It’s sad. It’s beautiful. It’s going to take years.
  • “The Chapel” — Two minutes. Daphne walks through the chapel. Talks about her wedding plans. Starts crying. So will you.
  • “The Treasure Hunt” — One minute. The riddle. The clues. No answers.

Search “Castle Impossible Season 3 HGTV” on YouTube. The main trailer has about 1.5 million views. The clips have fewer but the fans watch them all.

No behind-the-scenes featurette. HGTV doesn’t do those for this show. The show is the behind-the-scenes.

Castle Impossible Season 3 cast

Here’s who’s in it:

  • Daphne Reckert as Self – Chateau Owner
  • Ian Figueira as Self

That’s it. The main cast. But other people appear:

  • Ian’s dad — A roofer from California. Flies out to help with the roof. Stays for three episodes. He’s funny. He’s grumpy. He knows what he’s doing.
  • Daphne’s mom — The designer. She helps with the chapel. She picks the flowers. She picks the colors. She cries at the wedding.
  • Local contractors — French people who speak French. Subtitled. They think Daphne and Ian are crazy. They help anyway.
  • The wedding guests — Real people. Friends of Daphne and Ian. They flew in from California. Their reactions are genuine.

Daphne Reckert is the star. She’s emotional. She cries in every episode. Not in a fake way. In a “I can’t believe I own this place” way. She’s also tough. She argues with contractors. She argues with Ian. She wins most arguments.

Ian Figueira is the calm one. He’s the builder. He’s the one who figures out how to fix things. He’s also the one who finds the treasure. (Not a spoiler. The trailer shows him holding the box.)

No other cast members. The show is about two people. A couple. A chateau. That’s enough.

Castle Impossible Season 3 filming locations

Château de la Roche-Guyon? No. Not that one.

The real chateau is kept secret. HGTV doesn’t reveal the exact location. Privacy reasons. Daphne and Ian live there. They don’t want tourists showing up.

What we know:

  • It’s 45 minutes outside of Paris. By train. Not by car. Traffic is bad.
  • It’s in the Île-de-France region. That’s the region around Paris.
  • It’s near a town with a train station. The town has a bakery. Daphne goes there every morning.
  • The estate is 130 acres. Woods. Fields. A river. A pond. The pond is where Ian proposed. (Before the show. Not on camera.)

What we don’t know:

  • The name of the chateau.
  • The name of the town.
  • The exact coordinates.

The production team: HGTV sends a crew of about 15 people. They stay in a nearby hotel. They film for three months. They come back every year. Daphne and Ian have gotten used to them.

The roof footage: Shot from a drone. Also from a cherry picker. Ian’s dad didn’t want to wear a harness. The producers made him. He complained the whole time.

The treasure hunt: Filmed over two weeks. The clues were real. The hiding places were real. The production team didn’t know where the treasure was. They found out when Daphne and Ian found it. Their reactions are real.

If you want to visit the chateau: You can’t. It’s private property. HGTV won’t tell you where it is. Don’t try to find it. Daphne has asked fans to respect their privacy. She posted that on Instagram. The fans listened.

But you can visit other chateaus. France has hundreds. The Loire Valley. The Dordogne. Normandy. Go there. Stay in a chateau hotel. Live your best life. Just don’t knock on Daphne’s door.

June 3. Thursday. Daphne and Ian are back. The north wing is crumbling. The roof is leaking. The chapel needs a miracle. And somewhere on 130 acres, a metal box is waiting. Daphne’s grandfather knew she would find it. That’s why he left the clues. That’s why he left the chateau. He knew she was the only one who could do this. Impossible? Probably. But that’s the name of the show. Watch it. You’ll believe in crazy dreams again.
