The Gryphon Storyline & Synopsis
“Der Greif” feels much like the German “Stranger Things”. It’s an Amazon Prime series, based on Wolfgang and Heike Hohlbein’s novel cult status from 1989, which combines the genres of coming-of-age and fantasy, nearly as original as the Netflix success. The beloved fantasy novel published by Wolfgang as well as Heike Hohlbein is an absolute classic of the genre. Prime Video has filmed the epic in six thrilling episodes, bringing our viewers to the 90s and the attitude toward the lives of a generation.
The three outcasts Mark, Memo and Becky find themselves in the enchanted world known as “The Black Tower” in Krefelden in 1994. In this world, the gryphon is a demonizing monster, who is able to lead a reign of terror, and brutally conquer all living things. Mark appears as the one to end the evil griffin. However, he’s not feeling as if he’s a hero. the school and first relationship already strain him enough. The only time his brother Thomas is abducted that his friends must go off into the world which is”The Black Tower. “Black Tower” and grow in a way they never have ever imagined.
These themes represent the fundamentals of human existence extremely well. In this genre. Anything can be true. This is a chance for me to present huge conflicts on a smaller scale, and reverse. My view of fantasy films is pure. It says: You can’t combat hate by committing a hate crime. The cycle is only broken by love.
