One Way or Another Storyline & Synopsis
Belen (Saida Belen) (Saida Benzal) Belen (Saida Benzal) and Hache (Marta Martin) are two of Parla’s close friends who, after having a break for a time, get together once more in Malasana. From the Madrid fringes to the hipster areas that are the center of Madrid. The reunion is a way to discuss social acceptance and belonging, as well as prejudices, or the vitality of a whole generation. The reason is that after a long time without having seen each other, Hache and Belen meet again in Malasana one of the hippest areas in Madrid.
The series is inspired by the short film “Pipas” made by Manuela Burlo Moreno. In the cast, not just Saida Benzal and Marta Martin are the two friends who play for the second time. A short film that is unpretentious such as Pipas, is a scene in which two friends discuss the divine and human sitting on a bench and eating the nuts that make up the title. Summer is a time to drop in intensity. We need of something that is light and makes us smile, it seems like we’ve discovered it.
The short film ‘Pipas’ was nominated for the Award of Goya. The film portrayed two girls from the fringe who spend all day at a table and contemplating their lives, and they are now embarking on a journey in the show “Por H o por B’. Both are determined to transform their lives and make the decision to relocate to Malasana. They will be reunited after years of not having seen each other in the midst of modernity and posturing in Madrid and within one of the areas with the most character terraces, colors and color around the globe.
