Expedition Unknown Storyline & Synopsis
Megalodon is the biggest predatory marine fish to have ever existed. The shark could be up to 18 meters and open its mouth to 2 meters wide. It is larger than sharks like the Great White Shark as well as other predators who once swam in the ocean. He disappeared for a moment. What could make the king of water suddenly disappear from his seat?
In an episode that is a part of Expedition Unknown, Josh Gates collaborates with paleontologists using fossilized teeth–the sole remaining remnants of the megashark to solve the mystery surrounding Megalodon’s disappearance. Marine biologists also examine the descendants of the prehistoric shark in order to determine what may be the reason for its demise.
It’s the beginning of a new thrilling season of ‘Expedition: Unknown’, in which Gates attempts to unravel several more intriguing mysteries. In addition to pursuing Dillinger’s treasure Gates is also following in the footsteps of Spanish “conquistadors” to search Columbia for the legendary gold country in El Dorado.
