Ōoku: The Inner Chambers Storyline & Synopsis
This manga was meticulously created with great respect to the manga that was originally written. With the constant passion and hatred of a variety of individuals, it portrays the beautiful and painful relationship between a man women who are separated by the forces of fate. The tale is set in Edo in Japan, where a scourge of smallpox-related blush quickly reduced the male population to around one-fourth of women which led to a massive shift in social control and power from women. Its origins go to the time that of the 3rd Tokugawa Shogun, Iemitsu.
It is set during The Edo period, where both genders were flipped because of a bizarre disease that only affected males in their teens, the awaited Netflix anime of manga “Ōoku”, which has sold 7 million volumes, is determined.
In the trailer which has been taken down, while the beautiful and vibrant universe in “Ōoku” is projected, different emotions roiling around within the realm that is “gender reversal” are echoed and hint at the onset of turmoil. Yuko was a servant of Iemitsu and was put in the palace’s interior as a possible candidate for an heir. But, as you observe in the video the expression was filled with sadness unexpected difficulties were awaiting the near future for Yuriko along with Iemitsu.
