Primo Storyline & Synopsis
Primo is a semi-autobiographical sitcom created by Shea Serrano. The show was created with the clear goal of the show bringing many more Mexican names onto the American screen. This show is built on the character of Serrano’s childhood in the home of a Mexican family living in San Antonio, Texas. The show is described as a sitcom for teenagers which tells the story of a young person who has to face every challenge that comes with it, as well as absurd situations that teens are faced with.
The comedic comedy about coming of age is inspired by the story of Serrano’s childhood within San Antonio, Texas. The film follows Rafa at a crossroads in his life when three significant events occur with his fellow classmates: they are getting close to the end of high school, he’s sure that he’s just got that girl who he’s always wanted to meet and he’s just discovered that he’s a good chance of becoming the first member of his family to attend college.
Rafa who is played by Ignacio diaz-silverio and is the main character of the show is a teenager that is struggling to sort out his future while facing pressures from his family. The show’s inspiration comes from Serrano’s childhood and features an amazing Latine actor to present the story. It’s his job along with his sarcastic bestie to uncover the real story behind the grisly events.
