The six-part sitcom was shot in Wirral and Knowsley and was facilitated by the Liverpool Film Office. “It’s an account of the lives of families who navigate the world with nothing but an inaccurate perspective of reality, deficient judgment, and self-esteem only confined to males, and women who don’t be bothered if they cease breathing. They’re selfish, selfish and in debt for a long time angered, desperate, pathologically seeking love, a little (sometimes significantly) criminal, and filled with unintentional, frightening love.”
Josie plays by Sadler and her real-life sister Lizzie Davidson plays her on-screen sister, Billie. Deb plays Louise Brealey (Sherlock) and the film also stars Paul Bazely as Deb’s prospective new boyfriend Dev as well as Amy Trigg as Josie’s workmate, Clare.
