Strife The series “tells the tale of a contemporary imperfect woman and publisher called Evelyn Jones (Keddie) and her rise from a lounge blogger to becoming a major player in the world of women’s media.” The story is set in the beginning of digital media and publishing the story is inspired by Freedman’s career and life in the process of establishing her online website, Mamamia.
The script was written and developed to screen by Australian screenwriter Sarah Scheller and directed by Stuart Bowen, with Binge executive director, Alison Hulbert-Burns declaring: “We are so excited to see the cameras begin filming on Strife. A show that is directed by a stellar group of creators with a formidable lineup of female directors led by Bruna, Jodi, Asher, and Mia.
“Strife is a spirited character-driven Australian story of which Binge strives to tell stories that please local audiences as well as capture international attention.” Asher Keddie has started filming the Comedy drama Strife in preparation for his long-awaited return to the television screen.
