Renovation Wild Storyline & Synopsis
HGTV is headed to Zambia for its upcoming restoration series called Renovation Wild. A press release issued on Tuesday said that the show would be “the network’s first-ever Africa-based series.” They could be extremely nice people! It could also be quite interesting. However, for a show that is set in Zambia, and the first show set in Africa for one of the United States’ largest cable channels — this was a somewhat odd decision.
The story takes place against the stunning background that is Lower Zambezi, National Park. The plans of the owners to upgrade their hotel within the African bush could be derailed due to a range of logistical snags like the monsoon season, severe supply chain issues, as well as numerous encounters with wild animals.
In the pilot episode, the Cumings family begins to restore Old Mondoro’s most neglected villas before the monsoon’s first storms arrive. They’ll work together on new designs for the reed houses and will be updating the bathrooms as well as a unique outdoor toilet. Grant along with Lynsey are planning a lavish renovation of their property in Chiawa.
