“Scrublands” is set in an isolated town in the country in which a charismatic and dedicated young clergyman (Jay Ryan) is able to calmly fire at his church and kills five members of the congregation. A year later, the investigative reporter Martin Scarsden (Luke Arnold) arrives in Riversend to create a straightforward story on how the tragedy came to pass. massacre. However, as his instincts take over and he begins to dig into the depths the conventional narrative is thrown into doubt and he’s forced into an all-out race to discover the truth.
