Survival of the Thickest Storyline & Synopsis
The American comedian who is married to Gijs van der Most, the Dutch photographer Gijs van der Most portrays Mavis Beaumont as a woman who is trying to rebuild her life following a breakup. Through the support of her friends and family, as well as an optimistic attitude she is determined to return to her profession as a stylist. It’s a Netflix series that is an adaptation of the book titled the same which includes essays inspired by her own life. The comedian co-created Survival of the Thickest with Danielle Sanchez-Witzel.
“Survival of the Thickest’ revolves around Mavis Beaumont. She’s large, black, and single, and she didn’t do it to be that way! Mavis is required to restart her life as a stylist in a struggle. She’s determined to not just be able to survive, but also prosper with the help of her loved ones with a positive body image and a stylish v-neckline paired with a little lipstick.
In the end, it’s difficult for her to live in the modern world however in her situation life gets more challenging. She is also struggling to work being an assistant to a fashion stylist and later suffers the trauma of a breakup. Even though things aren’t being her way but she is determined to remain as positive as she can in the world. There is nothing that can stop her or her heavy body from being a bossy girl.
