The Lions of Sicily Storyline & Synopsis
The Lions of Sicily is the captivating tale of the Florio family. The twins Paolo, as well as Ignazio, are two nimble spice merchants who made it out of the shackles of Calabria that are anchored to the past and are in search of social justice.
In Sicily, they come up with a vision of the future in which, beginning with an abandoned shop, they establish a thriving business which Paolo’s daughter, Vincenzo, with his brilliant ideas, will grow into a thriving empire.

This Sicilian proverb reveals all the insight of the characters in the original family tale narrated by Stefania Auci in her latest novel The Lions of Sicily. The Florio story, which was published in the late 1990s, was a global publishing case. It was sold in France, Germany, Holland, Spain, and the United States and was optioned to the possibility of a TV series.
